jacobsladder.org.uk: Who Are We?

Since it started, in 2002, jacobsladder.org.uk has been working to get a better deal for the thousands of struggling musicians, singers and songwriters who cannot get onto the first rung of the ladder to success.  Even today, where we have a plethora of radio & television channels, it is unlikely that unsigned music will be heard during the daytime and certainly not as regularly as music signed to record companies. These acts need to be given a chance so that everyone can see or hear their work. The audience can then decide whether they like their music or not.  At present, the people who run television, radio & the press are controlling what we hear and see to a point where new talent is being stifled and not being given a chance to shine.  We believe that, given time, these self same people will see that unsigned music gives them a wonderful opportunity to introduce something new to their audience. We hope you agree.

Our other aim is to help remind you of the some of the people who have helped to change our lives for the better.  By keeping their names & their lives fresh in our memories we hope that their strength will inspire you & help you to go onto to bigger & better things.

jacobsladder.org.uk is free. It costs you nothing. Please support us in any way that you can.

To make the most of our service we suggest that you look through our pages one by one.  Our music page will update you on our campaign to get a better deal for unsigned acts.  The R2 Records page is currently being updated.  Once this is finished you’ll be able to hear & buy music from many of the acts that we currently support.  Finally, our inspiration page features the numerous people who, we believe, have made a contribution to all of our lives.  There are many more people who do not feature, yet.  If you wish to put forward a name, or names, please go to the submit message page & send us the details.
